PMYB Programs

All players (excluding Teeball) in our baseball program are evaluated and placed at the level that is suitable for their current individual skills.  Our philosophy is to find where each kid can have the best chance to succeed on the field in hopes to build them into confident and stronger baseball players as they progress through the program!
**Evaluations are held for IB and our Travel Programs FOR THE SPRING SEASON.**

Teeball (In-House Program):

*Ages 4-6 (Coed)

The PMYB Teeball program is a great first instructional experience for both boys and girls. The emphasis is on teaching basic fundamentals while having FUN and learning what it's like to be on a team!  We offer both Spring and Fall seasons.  Each practice and game will last between 60-90 minutes.  All children will start by learning to hit off of the tee and those who are ready, at the discretion of the coach, may progress to hitting a coach pitch.  The organization will provide all playing equipment for each team (i.e. bats, helmets, baseballs, etc.) except for a baseball glove.  Players may bring their own equipment to use, as well!

Spring Format:  4 Saturday practices followed by 4 Saturday morning games (teams/coaches may have option of continuing with a weeknight practice once game schedule begins).

Fall Format:  One weeknight practice followed by a Saturday game each week.  Fall season typically starts the week after Labor Day and runs for six weeks.

Instructional Baseball League "IB" (In-House Program):

*Typically ages 7-9

PMYB is excited to announce the start of this new "in-house" division!  The emphasis of IB will be continue to develop on fundamentals while starting to teach more about the game of baseball from a strategic/game/team standpoint to better prepare them for more competitive baseball experience as they grow as baseball players and eventually play for our "Travel" levels in the LCYBL (listed below).  IB is mainly kid pitch with some Coach pitch.  IB will consist of some modified rules compared to the 10U Travel level.  Score and standings will be kept BUT emphasis should be on developing and teaching the game the right way.  Players are strongly encouraged to wear face shields on their batting helmets.

Spring Format:  Teams will be created by the end of February.  Mid-to-end of March teams will begin practicing 2-3 times before the game schedule begins.  Once games begin, the number of practices will decrease slightly and each team will play 1-2 times per week for the duration of the season (finish the first week of June).  Practices and games will typically be on weekday evenings, with an occasion make-up that could occur on the weekend.  Each team will play in our End of Season Tournament in early June, which will be played on the weekend, at Greider Park.

Fall Format:  Season will typically start after Labor Day Weekend.  Teams will practice 1-2 times per week while playing a Saturday game each week.  The season will last around 6 total weeks once games begin.  There is NO End of Season Tournament in the Fall.
